Good morning! Last weekend, my family and I drove to Washington, D.C. My mom ran the Nike Women’s Half Marathon while we were there & we went sight-seeing. Here are some pictures:

We arrived in DC on Saturday morning and then went to the expo & the Nike store to look at the race merchandise. The photo below is of a mural at the Nike store.

After the expo, we walked around the city to do some sight-seeing & we went to see the White House.

After the White House, we stopped to have some lunch and then walked by the Capitol Building.

On Sunday morning was my mom’s race, so we met her at the finish line. Below is a photo of the finish from where I was waiting.

Following the race, we went to brunch with our friend at the Del Ray Cafe in Alexandria, where I had this delicioud french toast. I recommend checking it out if you get the chance!
