Hi guys! I missed you! I just got home from a really long day. Today, I had my field hockey tournaments!

I woke up around 5 am, because the bus our team was leaving on was to leave at 6:20. It took about an hour to drive to the tournament, and when we got there, it was around 7:30. On the way, our team decided to French braid all of our hair and use blue pre-wrap so we all matched. I’ve gotta say, by the end of the day, we’d gotten a few compliments on our hair and we all decided that we felt like it bonded us – we felt even more like a team. Anyway, we warmed up, and then our first game started at 8:00.

I started, and I played the whole game – 40 minutes – and I LOVED it. I was exhausted, but it was so much fun. I also had an assist during the game, plus I got us two corners, so I was really happy. Then, it was time for the A Game, and I only got to play about 3 minutes of that, but it was a lot of fun. After that, we switched fields, turf actually, and I started for that game too. I played a total of twenty-four minutes, and I was actually okay with that because I was super tired when I got off the field. Seriously, I was so happy to have a few minutes to get my water because the other team ran us up and down the field a lot. When we finished that game, we found out that our team (the B Team) placed 2nd, and our coaches were really proud of us because usually our school gets fourth very year.

Following that, we switched back to our original field for the final game. This game was the last A Game, and they were playing for third place. I played two minutes of that at the end of the first half, but I got to start the second half! The A Game halves are twenty-five minutes instead of the usual twenty minutes, and I ended up playing 11 minutes in that half.

In total, I played 64/80 minutes possible for the B Games, and 16 minutes between the A Games. I’m very proud of how I did today, because of how much I played, but I feel like I’ve grown as a player, too. I had two assists, both in the first game for the two goals we scored, and a total of four corners earned. I am very happy with how I performed today.

After a long day, we went to lunch, and there was an ice cream bar. I don’t know about you, but 30 hungry, sweaty girls + an ice cream bar + a buffet = wow. We ate a lot of food, and made a bunch of sundaes too. Let’s just leave it at the fact that we made a decent-sized pile of plates. 😉

I got home around 2, took a shower, made some cocoa, then decided to write this post for you guys. Any suggestions for what I should do next?
