Hi guys! I’ve missed you so much! I can’t believe a month of 2015 has already gone by. I feel like it came and went in the blink of an eye. I do feel like the days were very long for me, but the month itself wasn’t, anyone know what I mean?
Okay, sorry about that. This month has been crazy-busy for me, it felt like a whirlwind. So much happened: Disney, midterms, & more that I’ll be talking about in a bit. Basically I wanted to write this to catch you up on everything since I haven’t been able to blog so much with everything going on. I think I might keep doing these as a summary of each month in general, so let me know what you think! Enjoy!
1. Happy New Year
Happy New Year! 2014 flew by, and it was a great year but I was eager for a fresh start. My sister & I rang in the New Year together, as we were the only ones who managed to stay up π
2. It’s snowing!
There wasn’t a whole lot of snow to wrap up 2014 (minus the strange Winter in the middle of Autumn), so I was really excited about the snow that arrived at the beginning of the month. Then it came back & I had days of two-hour delays to school (which was really nice to catch up on some sleep).
3. Disney
The day after we got back to school from holiday break, we packed up & went to Disney! Double-vacation π Anyway, while we were there, my sister & I ran our first 10K, and my parents did their first marathon! It was a great trip & it was a lot of fun to run as well.
4. Midterms.
When we got back from Disney I had tests to make up & midterms to prepare for. It was my first time taking midterms, and let me tell you this: Preparing for Algebra midterms is no fun. At all.
5. Spelling Bee
Over the last few months, my school hosted a series of spelling tests sponsored by a local TV Station that runs a Spelling Bee every year. I participated in each of the three rounds, & my English teacher (who was in charge of organizing everything) told me I placed first in each round & won overall in my school! My friend and I both qualified for the regional bee which we attended this past weekend. Some of the words I’d never heard before, & though we didn’t place in the regional Finals, it was a fun experience.
6. All Fall Down
On January 20, my favorite author released the first book in her new series: Embassy Row. The novel, All Fall Down, is a great story and I love it so much! I’m about 70 pages in right now. The other day when I got home from school, my mom said that I got mail, and seeing that I never get mail I was pretty excited. It was a package, and when I opened it, it was a signed copy of All Fall Down that my mom ordered for me! It was a really nice thing to come home to & it was really nice of her to order to for me! Thank you Mom!
7. A month of the year is gone!
Seriously, I still don’t know where it went. I feel like it’s going to be a fast year. Here are the blog stats for this month (& this year so far) and I can’t even begin to tell you guys how thankful I am. I’m so happy that all of you awesome people read what I write & it really means the world to me to see so many people reading my blog. Just look at all of the countries! There are so many, I never thought my blog would reach so far across the world! It’s crazy, and it’s all because of you!
Thanks for reading, & thanks for a great month. I hope you had a splendid January, & here’s to a Fabulous February!
Love,
Yael
You are one amazing person, Yaelie. Love you more every day ..Mimi.
