Happy Blog-iversary!

SURPRISE! It’s my 1 year Blog-iversary! In honor of today, I’ve decided to turn back the clock, & make my blog look the way it did a year ago. Throughout the day, I’ll be hosting a few “party games” & festivities in honor of my blog’s first birthday.

Before we do any of that, I have something to say. It’s a BIG THANK YOU:

Readers,

Thank you. Thank you so much for the past year. I opened my blog on August 30th & wrote my first post on August 31st of last year, & I’ve had so much fun. I’ve learned a lot about myself, my writing, & about blogging. I had no idea what I was doing when I opened my blog, but I learned from you, my readers, & what you like to read. I don’t just write for myself anymore, I write for you to. I thick writing this blog has helped me to expand my audience & horizons to try new things & test myself. I’ve pushed myself, written some personal things & some not-so-personal things, like my travel posts. Overall, one of the best things I’ve learned was to have fun with it. I was not sure would think if I used this word instead of that word, or if you’d like reading the topic I’d chosen to write about one day. But I learned to write for myself & for you: to balance it – write what I’d like to read but what I think you’d like too, but getting my thoughts out there at the same time.

You’ve taught me so much in the past year, & I can’t thank you enough for the person you’ve helped me become. Writing this blog has changed me, I feel more responsible, more open, more confident. Thank you. Thank you for a great year & for being there for me. Thank you for reading what I write, thank you for caring about it.

Thank you so much, & I can’t wait to see what the next year holds. I love you so much, thank you for being you.

xx

Yael
