In Summer #2: My Summer Reading List

Hey guys! In Summer is back again this week with a Summer Reading List!

I have a summer reading assignment for my English class next school year, which gave me the idea to write this post. Because of this, I included the book that I am reading for my assignment, a book that I read recently and really liked, and also a book that I hope I have time to read this summer.

If you have any books that you would like to recommend to me or other readers, or if you just would like to share books on your summer reading list, please leave a comment on this post.

I hope you enjoy this post! Now onto the reading list 🙂

  1. The Secret Life of Bees – Sue Monk Kidd; this is the book that I chose for my summer reading assignment. While it is sad (sad as in I think I cried 3 times within the first 50 pages), it is a really good story.
  2. The Girl From Everywhere – Heidi Heilig; this book is so cool! It’s about a girl who travels through time on an old ship, and to get to the place she wants to go, she has to locate a map of the time and place she wants to go to. I would love to tell you more, but I don’t want to give too much away! I would definitely recommend checking this book out!
  3. See How They Run – Ally Carter; Ally Carter is my favorite author, and I’ve read all of her books except this one. It’s the sequel to a book called Embassy Row, which was a really good read (super suspenseful), so I’m sure that this book will be just as good. It came out in January, and I just haven’t had time to read it with all of my school reading assignments during the year.

That’s all for this post! Don’t forget to talk about some of your favorite books or your summer reading list by leaving a comment on this post.

Also, if you have any ideas for future In Summer posts that you would like me to write, please let me know by leaving your suggestions in the comments section of this post.

Tune in next week for In Summer #3!

Love,

Yael

I’m reading a few books (as usual) but not with the voracity I usually do…too tired. I started a light, easy new series: The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz. Still have to finish Creating Magic by Lee Cockerell about Disney’s management style. And, a have some new to me Jojo Moyes’ books. Loved The Secrer Life of Bees. It’s one of my all-time favorites!!
